I am Iron Man

allow me to formally introduce myself

I am Ng Jing Xuan Varick.. I am coming to 3 months old and can still barely sit up straight. I still like to sleep trhoughout the day and enjoyed sending liquid wee wee projectiles to unsuspected people who tried to change my diapers

Daddy had a nickname for me. Maybe because of my shaven look and my michelin fashioned arms and legs. Daddy refered to me as the Iron Man. I tried to find any semblance of me and iron man and the conclusion is:

other than the round heads we both have, and the similar body build, i cant see any other similarities...

but apparently the nickname stick.. just that jie jie keep calling me "ayam man" instead of "iron man"

I wondered what "ayam man" mean?

First Month and counting...

My regular routine revolve around irritating mum with my crying for attention and milk.  Mummy is quite sad that I am closer to kaka Budi ( our maid).  She never failed to stop me from crying with her singing.

Dont worry mummy, I would still come to you when I need milk.. I am still a growing baby :P

Finally Home

After a couple of days in a nice suite, mummy told me we are going home.  I thought we were home already when there were so much babies friends to play with me.  Then I realise all the jude mei mei (i was the only boy) were not there.  How transient relationships can be when I realise that all good things are not meant to last :(  Sigh..Anyway daddy spend the whole night with me and he was busy talking me to sleep through the night.  The next day, ah ma and uncle came to pick us up... I put on my best clothes.  Mummy sadi it was auntie ting who bought it for me.  I think blue is a nice colour for me.. Pretty flattering on my skin... but of course i think the frustrating thing is that i dont get air con at home.  Of course not that i am really complaining, i am really feeling cool under the aircon.  Mummy heard the nurse telling her that I have shrunk since born... from the already pathetic 2.7kg to the even more pathetic 2.555 kg... I think i need more moo moo...

Welcome to the world

On 28 February 2008, after a whole series of hoohah, i was finally expunged from Mummy at 1056 am at NUH.  It was not a pretty sight and it was not a good time as I was too overly excited the night before and thus didn't sleep.  That account for my crying when the surgeons took me out from mummy womb.  They were apparently disturbing my beauty sleep.  But of course jokes aside, I am glad to be out of mummy as it was so hot in there and i didnt really have much leg room.  The first face i saw whose voice i could recognise was daddy... he was busy snapping photographs and he almost blinded me with the repetitive flashes.  But of course i feel like a celebrity in the midst of a pararazzi media onslaught and it feel kinda good.

Daddy and mummy have been showering so much attention to jie jie and I think it is about time I get some of it also.

Ok I need to sleep already... Anyway that what i do anyway... 

counting down... 3 more days.... woo hoo...

In about 2 weeks time

Yeah! In about 2 weeks time from today, i would be out from mummy's tummy and it is so cool finally able to see daddy and mummy and jie jie and of course all the people who have been waiting in anticpation for me. This is so exciting and I havent been sleeping well recently. Maybe it is the shot of adrenaline that the fact that I will be born on the 28th Feb, the supposedly last day of the month. I was wondering, were you born on this date? Do you know of anyone who was? Do all Feb 28-ers think alike? Who are they, how are they, where are they, and why are they? Is there a pattern? Is there really a connection between all who share the same Zodiac sign, being this precise? I think i have been extremely bored in mummy tummy.

Recently jie jie is abit cranky... Daddy said it is because she is getting jealous that everyone is paying attention on me... Dont worry jie jie, you will always be daddy's favourite girl and you will always be my good jie jie..

Anyway to add a bit of a twist... daddy had decided to add another variant to my name again... with the ongoing thingly about my name and the fear that iw ould be made fun of.. daddy decided to think of a name that will not be mispronounced but yet still retained it uniqueness. So from the original " VARICK" ( which of course may be mispronounced by some sinophile as VAR -lick" , to "VERRICK" or "VERICK" now a new variant is added " VERIC". So which one do you think is good. Leave me a note for me to read ok?

One more month to go!

In exactly one month from today, I will be able to 重见天日! Yes, exactly one month from today, there will be a new-born hunk on the surface of the world. Watch out (baby) girls, Aunties and grandmas, be prepare for a massacre. *wink wink blow kisses*

Aunt is pretty excited. I overheard her telling Mummy that she can finally have a nephew to "rough it out". I dont exactly understand what's she's trying to say. Is she going to teach me wrestling and football? I think Aunt is trying very hard to be a fun Aunt. *LOL* The last few days, Aunt was trying to play "knock knock" game with me. She was so excited when I stretched and responded. Adults are so easy to satisfy. But anyway, I quite like her. She had already bought a romper for me.

Cant wait for 28 February to arrive. I wonder if I will look like Daddy or Mummy. Maybe I will look like him.
